I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again…. I’m completely obsessed with Charlie-girl!
I am absolutely loving (most) things at this age. It’s so fun to watch her develop. And sometimes it seems like she’s developing leaps and bounds overnight. If her head was see-through which would be weird, I bet you’d see the wheels turning in her head as she thinks about things and as she figures them out. If you ask her a question or ask her to do something new, she’ll stand there and really think about it and process it.
One thing that she does every single day, which I think is awesome and I hope it’s a glimpse into a “giving” personality trait of hers, is to give you whatever she has in your hands. She’ll even go as far as taking things from you (i.e. cell phone, remote, etc), just so she can give them back to you. We’ll go to the park and she’ll see another baby playing with their own toy and when the baby sets it down on the ground, she’ll go pick it up and give it to them. At first you might think she’s trying to steal the toy, but you quickly realize she just wants to give it back.
{Giving her friend, Cam, some of her lunch. Cam is a little too young for the food she eats, but I’m sure he’ll appreciate her sharing her lunch with him one day.}
{Giving herself (or me?) a leaf.}
{“Would you like some blueberries with your lunch?”}
{Letting you know she’s all done with her milk.}
{Helping me unpack the groceries.}
{On our evening walks to get the mail, she will pick up no less than 30 of these pink flowers. She’ll either put them in a pile or will give them all to me.}
This picture has nothing to do with her “giving” things. It’s just a cute picture and also speaks to the “furniture-arranger” that lives inside her. She enjoys moving furniture around and moving this pouf (which is for her room) all over the house. She even enjoys attacking you with it. Scary, I know!
This picture also doesn’t have anything to do with her giving. It’s just another one of the million photos I have of her and I thought “why not include this random photo in this blog post it has nothing to do with?” I needed to give her something to do so I could unload the groceries. I gave her a handful of canned food items and when I turned back to see what she was doing, she was stacking them :) Another reason I want to go to Stacked this summer!
